This work won Unesco's Composer Rostrum in Paris in 1982. It is largely based on incidental music that Lindberg wrote for Mikhail Bulgagov's play Molière and the music contains originally embedded references to the music of Rameau and Lully. The music is enhanced with text spoken by the instrumentalists in the middle of the work.

Both these works date from 1996. Rondo is is a joyful work to a text from the Finnish national epic, the Kalevala. Rondino's text is based on Kanteletar (in Finnish). It won the Lahti International Children's Chorus composition contest in 1997.
